Description
Origin & Traditional Use
Graveyard dirt is soil taken from a grave, one of the most important ingredients in conjure. It carries the power of the dead person buried there and is used for protection, cursing and calling on spirits.
Uses in the Work
Use it to call the dead into service, empower bindings and curses, and add the weight of the grave to protective work. Mix it into sachets, dust candles, line spirit vessels, or blend it with black salt for a powerful binding powder.
Pairs Well With

Lore
Rootwork tradition holds that grave dirt must be paid for. Taking without payment angers the dead whose rest you disturb.
