Description
Origin & Traditional Use
A black cat bone is a famous curio of Southern conjure, carried for invisibility, luck, protection and to make the bearer unseen by enemies. Today it is sold as a ritual substitute.
Uses in the Work
Keep it in a red flannel mojo bag with lodestone and High John, fed weekly with Black Cat or Lucifer oil. Carry it to move unseen, to win in risky ventures, and to protect yourself while doing dark work.
Pairs Well With
Black Cat Oil – 1 oz; Lucifer Anointing Oil – 2 dram; Devil’s Shoestring Root – 1 oz
Lore
The original black cat bone ritual involved boiling a black cat at midnight until one bone floated. Today it is a curio replaced by symbolic substitutes.
