Description
Origin & Traditional Use
A hanging censer, or thurible, is a vessel on a chain for swinging burning incense through a space, used in Catholic, Orthodox and Anglican services and in temple ritual since antiquity.
Uses in the Work
Swing it around the circle three times to consecrate the boundary, then hang it at the eastern quarter. Burn resin for evocation so spirits can take form in the smoke.
