Description
Origin & Traditional Use
Lailokens Awen candles are hand-poured intention candles made with herbs, oils and symbols for a particular purpose or sabbat. Awen is the Welsh word for the flowing spirit of poetic and divine inspiration. These candles honour the Moon and the goddess in her phases, and are burned in lunar workings, devotion to Hecate and goddess rites.
Uses in the Work
A candle for the dark of the Moon, the hidden phase sacred to Hecate and the crone. It is used for banishing, endings, shadow work and secret workings. Burn it on the night of the dark moon, alone and without other light. Offer a dish of garlic, eggs or honey at a crossroads afterward and walk away without looking back.
