Description
Origin & Traditional Use
Lailokens Awen candles are hand-poured intention candles made with herbs, oils and symbols for a particular purpose or sabbat. Awen is the Welsh word for the flowing spirit of poetic and divine inspiration. Elemental and altar candles are burned at the four quarters or on the altar to represent and call the elements of fire, water, earth and air.
Uses in the Work
For elemental and altar work: setting the quarters, balancing the elements and dressing the altar as a complete working space. Place them at the four quarters (air in the east, fire in the south, water in the west, earth in the north) and light them in turn as you call each guardian.
