Description
Origin & Traditional Use
Ritual candles are candles made and dressed for one intention, with herbs, oils and colour chosen for the work. They are designed to be the focus of a single spell or ritual. These candles honour the spirits of nature and the Horned God of the wild, and are burned in workings with the land, the forest and the old gods.
Uses in the Work
For calling the spirits of the land, the genii loci, fae and elementals, to ally with the practitioner. Burn it outdoors at the edge of woods or water, leave an offering of milk, honey or bread, and listen.
