Origin & Traditional Use

Ritual candles are candles made and dressed for one intention, with herbs, oils and colour chosen for the work. They are designed to be the focus of a single spell or ritual. Vision candles are burned to open psychic sight before scrying, divination and spirit contact.

Uses in the Work

Opens the inner eye for scrying, clairvoyance and receiving visions from the spirits. Light it beside your black mirror or crystal ball, dim all other light and gaze softly past the surface. Burn star anise or mugwort with it.
