Origin & Traditional Use

This is a botanica-style tin candle, poured into a metal tin and dressed for a single intention. Candles like this are sold in Latin American botanicas for every saint, spirit and need, and burned on home altars as a prayer and a petition. Road opening and new beginning candles are burned to clear obstacles, open doors and bless the start of a new venture, often timed to the waxing moon.

Uses in the Work

Opens the roads. It clears blockages, stagnation and closed doors so opportunity, money and movement can flow again. Dress it with Road Opener or Abre Camino oil and burn it at a crossroads altar, or in the doorway facing out. Sweep from the back of the house to the front door the same night to push stagnation out.
