Description
Origin & Traditional Use
A votive is a small candle, about two inches tall, made to burn for around ten to fifteen hours in a holder. The word comes from the Latin votum, a vow, because votives were lit before saints and gods to carry a prayer. Money and prosperity candles are burned to draw wealth, customers, opportunities and financial success, a staple of hoodoo and botanica practice.
Uses in the Work
For money, prosperity, business and success, burned to draw wealth and open the flow of material abundance. Dress it with cinnamon and money oil and set it on a dollar bill folded toward you. Burn it on a Thursday for Jupiter’s expansion or a Sunday for the Sun’s success. Sprinkle the remaining wax at your business door.
