Description
Origin & Traditional Use
Blessed thistle is a spiny Mediterranean plant with yellow flowers, long grown in monastery gardens as a household herb and brewed as a bitter tonic. In folk magic it is a herb of purification, protection and breaking hexes.
Uses in the Work
Use it to break hexes and purify. Add it to uncrossing baths, carry it to ward off evil, and burn it to cleanse a home after an attack. In protection work, place it in witch bottles and around the doors. It strengthens vitality after draining spirit work and is used in workings for strength and endurance.
