Description
Origin & Traditional Use
A frame drum is a skin stretched over a shallow wooden hoop, played by hand. It is the oldest drum design in the world and is used across the globe in music, healing, shamanic journeying and religious ceremony.
Uses in the Work
Drum a steady four-beat rhythm, around four beats per second, to drive yourself into trance before scrying, journeying or spirit contact. Beat the drum at each quarter while calling the demons of the elements to raise the energy of the circle, and use a single strike to mark each stage of a rite. Drumming over a sigil while vibrating the Enn builds the charge, and a slow heartbeat rhythm is used to call the dead in necromantic and ancestor work.
