Description
Origin & Traditional Use
Chime candles are small, slim candles that burn in about one to two hours, making them ideal for a single spell, daily offerings and candle grids. Their name comes from the German angel chimes, little brass carousels spun by the heat of these candles. Each colour carries its own meaning in candle magic, so an assorted set lets you match the candle to any working.
Uses in the Work
Small spell candles that burn in about an hour, made for focused workings carried through to completion in a single sitting. Many colors call on every planetary power at once. Burn one color per day, starting on Sunday with the Sun, to move a working through the whole planetary week. Chimes are ideal for daily rituals, quick petitions and multi-candle layouts. Set several in a circle around a petition, or burn one each day for seven days. Always let them burn out completely; snuffing a chime breaks its single-sitting purpose.
