Origin & Traditional Use

Lailokens Awen candles are hand-poured intention candles made with herbs, oils and symbols for a particular purpose or sabbat. Awen is the Welsh word for the flowing spirit of poetic and divine inspiration. Healing candles are burned as a prayer for recovery and wellbeing, continuing the old practice of lighting votive lights for the sick before saints and gods.

Uses in the Work

For healing and restoration, to support recovery, renew vitality and close the wounds left by intense work. Burn it beside a photo or taglock of the person to be healed, with rosemary and lavender. Always use it alongside proper medical care.
