Description
Origin & Traditional Use
A seven knob candle is a candle shaped as seven stacked balls, burned one knob a day over seven days. It is a classic candle of Southern conjure for workings that must build day by day.
Uses in the Work
The seven-knob candle is a working laid out over seven nights. Each knob is a stage of the spell, and each night’s burning builds on the last until the petition is complete. Black belongs to Saturn and the night: banishing, binding, protection, adversarial and shadow work, and the darkness from which light emerges. Burn it on a Saturday, in the hour of Saturn. Carve one wish or one word of your petition into each knob. Dress it upward from base to crown to draw, or downward from crown to base to banish. Burn exactly one knob per night at the same hour, snuffing between sessions, never blowing out the flame. Gather the remaining wax on the final night and bury it at a crossroads or keep it in a mojo bag.

Lore
Seven is the number of the classical planets and the days of the week. Burning one knob per night lets the working pass under every planetary ruler before it is finished.
What You Receive
Black Seven knob candles (also known as wishing candles) can be thought of as analogues to knot magic – either building or releasing energy or the intent of the spell or ritual as each knob is burned through. Black 7 knob may be especially useful when used for protection, banishing, wisdom and for absorbing or projecting negative energy. Candle may require leveling to stand perfectly straight. Sizes, colors, and shapes may vary slightly.
