This is a ninety-hour candle poured into a glass jar and scented for its purpose. Long-burning jar candles are used in workings that need to be held over many days, and as devotional lights on the altar. These candles honour the Moon and the goddess in her phases, and are burned in lunar workings, devotion to Hecate and goddess rites.

Uses in the Work

For devotion to the goddess in her many forms: maiden, mother and crone, and the dark feminine of Hecate and Lilith. Burn it on Monday, the Moon’s day. Offer milk, honey, flowers or pomegranate, and speak her names. Purple belongs to Jupiter: command over spirits, spiritual authority, expansion and psychic power. Burn it on a Thursday in the hour of Jupiter.
