This is a ninety-hour candle poured into a glass jar and scented for its purpose. Long-burning jar candles are used in workings that need to be held over many days, and as devotional lights on the altar. Cleansing and releasing candles are burned to clear away negative energy, unwanted influences and old attachments, making space for what comes next.

Uses in the Work

For cleansing and release: to sweep away residue, stagnation and lingering spirits, and to purify the temple before and after the work. Light it, then sweep or smoke the space from the back of the house toward the front door. Open the door to let it all out and close it firmly behind. Green belongs to Venus and the earth: money, fertility, growth and the Venusian current of attraction. Burn it on a Friday.
