Description
Origin & Traditional Use
Baphomet oil is a ritual anointing oil dedicated to the Baphomet, used in left-hand path, Luciferian and Satanic practice. Anointing oils have been used for consecration since ancient Egypt and Israel.
Uses in the Work
Use it as the dedicated anointing oil of the Sabbatic current. Dress the four corners and center of a Baphomet sigil before invocation, anoint the brow and heart to open the self to the Androgyne, and dress black-and-white candles for rites of union between opposing forces. In demonolatry it serves as a general consecration oil for the left-hand-path altar, and in black magic it empowers workings that must hold dark and light in balance without losing control.

Lore
The words ‘Solve’ and ‘Coagula’, dissolve and bind, are written on the arms of Éliphas Lévi’s 1856 Baphomet. They are the alchemical formula of the Great Work.
