Description
Origin & Traditional Use
Bay leaves come from the laurel tree and are dropped whole into soups, stews and sauces for their savoury scent. Since ancient Greece and Rome, laurel has also been woven into crowns of victory and burned for prophecy.
Uses in the Work
Write your wish or a sigil on a bay leaf and burn it to send it to the spirits. Burn bay to aid prophetic visions and trance, and add it to protection and uncrossing work. Place a leaf in the shoe or wallet for success, and lay crowns or wreaths of bay on the altar in workings of victory and power with solar and Luciferian spirits.
