Description
Origin & Traditional Use
Black Arts oil is a traditional hoodoo condition oil used for powerful and baneful workings: cursing, domination and breaking resistance. It is one of the oldest named formulas of Southern spiritual supply.
Uses in the Work
This is the oil for hexing, cursing, domination and pact work. Dress black candles from base to wick to send harm away, anoint poppets and petitions bearing the target’s name, and dress coffin nails driven into a working. It is also used to consecrate the tools of a dark altar.
Pairs Well With
Coffin Nails – Consecrated; Devil Figure Candle – Black; Bat’s Blood Ink – 1 oz
Lore
The ‘black arts’ was once a literal term: necromancy was misread in medieval Latin as ‘nigromancy,’ the black art.
