Description

Origin & Traditional Use

A figure candle is a candle moulded in the shape of a person, animal or symbol, so that the candle itself stands for what the working is about. Figure candles grew from the ancient practice of the wax image, in which what is done to the image is done to the one it represents. Black cat candles are burned for luck, especially in gambling, and to reverse curses, while other colours of cat candle draw love, money or healing to a pet or familiar. In candle magic a black candle is burned for protection, banishing, binding and work with the dead.

Uses in the Work

Burn it to reverse curses, to protect the home during dark work, and to cross an enemy’s luck. Carve the target’s name or your own, depending on whether you are sending or shielding, and dress it with Black Cat oil.
