Description
Origin & Traditional Use
Frankincense is a resin from Boswellia trees of Oman, Yemen and Somalia, harvested as “tears” from the bark. It is the classic church and temple incense of the world, and is used in perfume and anointing oils.
Uses in the Work
Burn frankincense on charcoal as the master offering incense to any spirit, and blend it with myrrh or dragon’s blood. It is used in solar, Luciferian and Jupiterian workings and in the consecration of every ritual tool. The smoke is said to lift the vibration of a space and open the way to spirit contact.

Lore
Frankincense was so valuable it was traded along the Incense Road from Oman and Yemen to Rome, and the wealth of ancient Arabia was built on it. Egyptians burned it to the Sun god Ra, and the Key of Solomon lists it in almost every fumigation.
