Description
Origin & Traditional Use
Labradorite is a grey feldspar that flashes blue, green and gold as it moves in the light. It is cut for jewellery and ornaments, and in crystal practice is used for magic, intuition and protecting the aura.
Uses in the Work
Use it as a stone of magic itself: to strengthen psychic sight, shield the aura and veil the practitioner from those who would see their workings. Gaze into its flash in candlelight to enter trance, and carry it to protect your energy in crowds and in everyday life after heavy work. It suits glamour, invisibility and dreamwork.

Lore
An Inuit legend says the northern lights were once trapped inside the rocks of the Labrador coast until a warrior struck them with his spear and freed most of them. What remained is the flash, called labradorescence, that gives the stone its name.
