Description

Origin & Traditional Use

This is a scented jar candle made for a specific intention, poured into glass so it can burn safely for many hours. Jar candles are used as devotional lights and for workings that need to be held over several days. Luck candles are burned for good fortune, especially in gambling, lotteries and games of chance, a tradition of Southern conjure and Latin American botanicas.

Uses in the Work

For luck: fast luck, gambling luck, a turn of fortune and the favor of chance. Dress it with Fast Luck oil and burn it before games of chance, carrying a whole nutmeg or a lucky hand root anointed with the same oil.

Pairs Well With

Black Cat Bone; Whole Nutmeg – 1 oz; Devil’s Shoestring Root – 1 oz
