Description
Origin & Traditional Use
A magic wand is a ritual rod used to direct energy, call spirits and cast circles. Wands appear in Egyptian temple ritual, Greek myth and the medieval grimoires, and in modern witchcraft the wand usually belongs to the element of air or fire.
Uses in the Work
Use it to cast the circle, direct energy toward a target, point to the quarters while calling the elemental demons, and stir and charge a potion. In evocation, hold it to summon and command and to trace the sigil of the spirit in the air. Dedicate it to a patron demon by anointing it with that spirit’s oil and burning its incense, so that the wand carries its power.
