Description
Origin & Traditional Use
Ritual candles are candles made and dressed for one intention, with herbs, oils and colour chosen for the work. They are designed to be the focus of a single spell or ritual. Road opening and new beginning candles are burned to clear obstacles, open doors and bless the start of a new venture, often timed to the waxing moon.
Uses in the Work
A candle for new beginnings, burned to plant a seed in the dark and grow it with the waxing Moon. Light it on the first evening the crescent appears, write what you are beginning, and burn it a little each night until the Full Moon.
