Nuummite is a dark metamorphic rock with gold flashes, found mainly in Greenland and among the oldest rocks on Earth. In crystal practice it is used for personal power, protection and deep inner work.

Uses in the Work

Use it as a stone of the sorcerer: personal power, the ancient and the hidden. Place it on the altar when working with old and powerful spirits, and hold it during trance to reach deep into the subconscious and ancestral memory. It is strongly protective in astral work and journeys into the underworld. Carry it to strengthen will during long workings, but cleanse it often.

Nuummite is one of the oldest minerals on Earth, around three billion years old, and is found almost only in Greenland. Its name comes from Nuuk, the Greenlandic capital. Modern crystal practitioners call it “the sorcerer’s stone” for its link with deep, primal power.
