Description
Origin & Traditional Use
A figure candle is a candle moulded in the shape of a person, animal or symbol, so that the candle itself stands for what the working is about. Figure candles grew from the ancient practice of the wax image, in which what is done to the image is done to the one it represents. Cleansing and releasing candles are burned to clear away negative energy, unwanted influences and old attachments, making space for what comes next.
Uses in the Work
For cleansing and release: to sweep away residue, stagnation and lingering spirits, and to purify the temple before and after the work. Light it, then sweep or smoke the space from the back of the house toward the front door. Open the door to let it all out and close it firmly behind.
Pairs Well With
Hyssop – 1 oz; White Sage – 1 oz; Banishing Spell Mix
