Working with Demons

Pyrite – 1 lb Tumbled

$50.55

Description

Origin & Traditional Use

Pyrite is iron sulfide with a brassy, metallic shine, nicknamed fool’s gold. It was used to strike sparks for fire and to make mirrors, and in crystal practice it is the stone of money, abundance and willpower.

Uses in the Work

Use it as a money magnet in prosperity workings: place it in the north, on the cash box or on the altar with Clauneck or Bael sigils when petitioning for wealth. Its mirror faces were used for scrying in ancient Mesoamerica. Carry it as a shield to reflect negativity back to its sender, and place it on business petitions to strengthen ambition and drive.

Pairs Well With

Citrine – 1 lb Tumbled; Basil Leaf – 1 oz; Sun Planetary Oil – 2 dram

Lore

Pyrite’s name comes from the Greek pyr, “fire”, because it throws sparks when struck against iron, and it was used as fire-lighting flint. Nicknamed fool’s gold, it fooled prospectors for centuries. The Olmec, Aztec and Maya polished it into mirrors for divination.

What You Receive

Feel very protected, as Pyrite has long been valued as a strong protective stone that shields the wearer from negative energy and environmental pollution. Sold by approximate weight – not stone size or count.
