Description
Origin & Traditional Use
A screen burner is a small brazier with a mesh grate for burning loose incense, resin and herbs on charcoal or directly on the screen. It is used for daily offerings and consecration.
Uses in the Work
Set it on the altar for resin offerings during evocation and devotional work. The screen lets resin melt slowly for long, steady smoke rather than burning off all at once.
Pairs Well With
Three Kings Charcoal – 10 Tablets; Myrrh Resin Incense – 1 oz; Pentagram Charcoal Tongs
Lore
The censer, or thurible, is one of the oldest ritual tools. It appears in Egyptian, Jewish and Christian temple worship alike.
