Description
Origin & Traditional Use
Tiger’s eye is a golden-brown quartz with a silky moving band of light. It is cut into beads and cabochons, and in crystal practice is used for courage, focus, confidence and protection.
Uses in the Work
Use it for courage, focus and protection against the evil eye. Carry it into negotiations, court and confrontations to keep a clear head and a firm will. Charge it with the Sun on a Sunday for success and prosperity, and set it on the altar in workings of power and dominance. Its shifting band of light also makes it a fitting focus in scrying for hidden truths.

Lore
Roman soldiers carried tiger’s eye engraved with protective symbols into battle, and the stone was long held to ward off the evil eye because it seemed to watch back. Its silky shimmer, called chatoyancy, comes from fibres of crocidolite turned to quartz.
